And for the second straight tournament, GHS won team and individual trophies. The Hornets posted a team-score of 316 to defeat runner-up Robinson (320) and third-place Abilene Wylie (336) in the 15-team tourney. Zane Washburn shot an impressive even-par 72 to claim the medalist trophy, while Bryce Cole was 7th with an 80. Other scores: Canyon Carothers 82, Jett Truss 82, Ryan Phillips 83, Tyler Soltow 84. Gatesville's next outing comes Tuesday at the Iredell Invitational (9:00 AM, Squaw Valley Golf Course).
