TENNIS: Eight on 17-4A All-District Teams

Eight players from Gatesville High were named to the District 17-4A all-league team announced last week. On the girls' side, seniors MeKenzie Grundy and Juliann Owen and junior Makayla Brown were first-team selections in singles, while junior Katelyn Pelkey was a second team pick. Grundy joined junior Katelyn Armas on the first-team doubles list, while Brown and Owen received second-team mention in doubles. On the boys' side, seniors John Floyd and Clayton Homeyer and freshman Sean Dolman were awarded honorable mention status. Grundy, Armas and Brown were also named to the 17-4A all-academic team.
