Welcome to the Family and Consumer Science Dept. We are part of the Career and Technology Dept. Our goal is to prepare our students for careers, college, personal and professional relationships. Communication, people skills and time management are focuses of all our curriculum.
Our clusters standards include communication skills, problem solving and critical thinking, ethics and legal responsibilities, technical skills, safety, health and environmental issues and employability and career development. Every class taught under Family and Consumer Science covers these standards in some form.
Human Services is the name of my endorsement pathway. Freshman are generally enrolled in Principles of Human Services, followed by Interpersonal Studies. Juniors and Seniors will enroll in Family and Community service. This third class is spent largely out in the community, usually 4 days a week and one day in the classroom.

In addition, this year 2016-17, I am a co-sponsor for Student Council with Mrs. Mary Bruton and a co-sponsor for the Junior/Senior Prom with Mrs. Whitney Carothers. If I can assist you with either of these please feel free to email.
Principles of Human Services and Interpersonal Studies will need a small spiral (leave in the classroom) , some notebook paper and a pen or pencil. Kleenex and Germ-x are greatly appreciated but not required.
