Career & Technology Education
This is our story!
Gatesville ISD's Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs are designed to prepare students for college and career readiness. We credit this success to strong support by GISD's Board of Trustees and Superintendent in providing resources necessary for quality programs for GISD students.
Our students are entering a highly competitive workforce and must be able to integrate and apply 21st century skills, technical knowledge and skills, and core academic knowledge. Graduates of Gatesville ISD will engage in a challenging curriculum, which will culminate in preparation for a successful transition to college, career and workforce readiness. The experiences for all students in Gatesville ISD will match the student’s strengths and interests, as well as, challenge the minds, imaginations, feelings and social skills.
We strive for continuous improvement efforts and embrace our quality instructional partnerships with local businesses and community programs. These partnerships give students a chance to spend time in practicum programs as unpaid interns. Members of the GISD family, parents, and our business and post-secondary partners work together to provide the relevant experiences necessary to enhance our students’ future successes. Gatesville ISD Career and Technology Education is a great way for students to prepare for the highly technological and competitive workplace of the 21st Century.
